Scott & Sarah Petersen

PFS Owners

• Founding Pontiac Flying Service in June of 1997, Scott and Sarah Petersen have built their business on building relationships within the community and establishing quality service to the farmers in Central Illinois.  The two have worked in unison to turn their dream of supporting local farms with aerial applications into a reality.
• Scott Petersen is a Certified A&P/IA aircraft mechanic and the chief aerial application pilot.
• Sarah Petersen is the Office Administrator.

Kris & Shelby Petersen

Pilot, Certified A&P Mechanic, Manager

• Married in 2015, Kris and Shelby live in rural Cornell with their four children.
• Kris is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in Crop Agribusiness.
  
• Kris is an equipment manager, aerial application pilot and certified A&P aircraft mechanic.
  
• His love and passion for the aerial application industry plays a major role in the business.

Brandon & Julie Sancken

Aircraft Dispatcher and Spray Operations Manager

• Married in 2007, Brandon and Julie Sancken live in rural Pontiac with their two children.
• Brandon is a 5th generation farmer from Saunemin, Illinois, Brandon has been part of the Pontiac Flying Service family since 2006.  His knowledge of the area and love of farming has endeared Brandon to our customers and partners, and have made him a vital piece of our team.
  
• Brandon oversees spraying operations and AgSync logistics.
• Julie is Scott and Sarah’s oldest daughter.

Eric & Jamie Smith

Supervisor of Spray Operations and Coverage Files/ Office Administrator

• Married in 2012, Eric and Jamie live in Rural Flanagan with their two children.
  
• Eric is a 7th generation farmer from Flanagan and has been working at Pontiac Flying Service since 2012. He is a Supervisor of Spray Operations and Coverage Files, and also assists Brandon in the office during busy times, providing help with the mapping and scheduling of orders.  
  
• Jamie, Scott and Sarah’s youngest daughter, has worked as an office administrator since 2010.
  

Seth Lyons

Ground Operations Manager / Certified A&P Aircraft Mechanic

• Seth joined the team in 2012 and is the ground operations manager in Pontiac. He manages and operates the agrichemical facility and the Kahler automation system in Pontiac.
  
• He is also a Certified A&P Aircraft Mechanic
  

Matt Flynn

Ground Operations Manager

• Matt joined our team in 2020. He manages and operates the agrichemical facility and the Kahler automation system in Lexington/Cooksville. 

Adam Immke

Pilot

Adam has been with Pontiac Flying Service since 2009 and began to fly as a pilot in 2015. He comes from a local, farming family and graduated from Illinois State University.

Adam Jacobs

Pilot

Adam comes from a local, farming family and began flying as a pilot in 2024. He worked the ground crew for 5 years prior.

Max comes from a local, farming family and began flying as a pilot in 2024. He worked the ground crew for 5 years prior.
